Recommendations about the Paleo Diet
Ultimately,
when thinking about starting a Paleo diet or any diet for that matter, it is crucial
that you have done your research and have a deep understanding of the advantages
and disadvantages. The Paleo diet possess many strengthens to our diet and wellbeing,
such as an increased physical activity, larger intake of whole foods, and
refining added sugars and processed foods. However, it is important to understand
that a Paleo diet does not meet all the 5 Australian Dietary Guidelines and the
recommended NRVs as particular food groups are removed from our diet. Rather
than strictly following the Paleo diet, it suggested to use it as a template to
base your diet on, and include grains and dairy products. (Osborne, 2016). When starting
any diet, it is important to contact a GP or dietician first. (Osborne, 2016).
